RomulansThis is a featured page

Romulans are a humanoid species that live on a planet named Romulus. Their past goes back to the time that Vulcans had just started to embrace logic, and they were an extremist group that left Vulcan and set course for a different, more habitable planet: Vulcan is a desert planet, with no tides, because it also has no moon. When the departed Vulcans, now Romulans came on to their new planet, they met something called "The Gnawing", a virus that lived in the soil of Romulus. Soon, the sister planet Remus was inhabited too.
The two planets and their people began the Romulan Star Empire, a vast empire dictated by the elected senate and Emperor of Romulus. The Tal' Shiar is a Romulan intelligence gathering organization. The name is a homeage to the Tal' Shaya, a Vulcan method of execution where the neck is broken with a swift stroke for a quick merciful death. Prior to the Dominion War, the Tal' Shiar and the Cardassion Obsidian order secretly worked together to launch a pre-emptive strike on the Founder homeworld.
